Helping you find the plus size fashions you need to look and feel great is our mission and that’s why we bring the store to you in the GTA* area via our Fashion Parties. Imagine jazz music playing softly, wine being served, and beautiful clothing that actually fits displayed all around you. Our fashion parties are meant to provide comfort, privacy, convenience and fun.
*Fashion Parties can be arranged for locations outside the GTA with a specified minimum number of potential customers based on distance from the GTA. Call Stefanie at 647-999-6682 for details.
Hosting a Party.
Should you decide to host a party, you not only earn a 10% commission on sales from the event, but you will also be deemed a heaven-sent fashion goddess from your friends. They will thank you for bringing them the styles and sizes that they couldn’t otherwise access. There is no limit to your commission potential, so it is best for you to invite as many potential customers as possible. As for the commission, take cash or clothes – the choice is yours. All customers receive a free gift with purchase, and one lucky customer wins the door prize which consists of a $25 gift certificate for future SexyPlus Clothing purchases.
As a hostess, you would be expected to provide light refreshments and finger foods, and ensure a minimum of 6 potential customers. Potential customers are women who wear sizes 14+ and/or who are interested in buying new plus size fashions. To ensure privacy and comfort, men are asked to make arrangements to be away for the duration of the entire event.
Location.
We display the clothing on garment racks so a large space and/or two rooms are best to adequately display the collection. The more the clothes are displayed on door frames, shelves, chair backs, etc. the better customers can see and appreciate the styles and spot their favourites. If you do not feel that your house or apartment has the capacity to host a party, then book one free of charge at Stefanie’s located in Etobicoke at Kipling and Eglinton, or in Caledon, north of Brampton.
Getting Started.
To get started, pick a few dates that work for you and call Stefanie to check her availability. Once a date is agreed upon, preferably a week date, then you create your guest list. Think of the many women in your life, like friends and family, but also contacts, like your dentist/doctor, banker, grocer, co-workers, schoolmates, neighbours, social groups/networks and so on. Let them know that there is never any pressure to buy: it’s about access to awesome and affordable plus size fashions in a comfortable setting. Based on our experience, most customers do find at least one item that makes them very happy.
Promoting Your Party.
To promote your fashion party we provide an email template and a printable poster. You can also refer customers to our website to get a sneak peak at the collection, and to Facebook to join the group.
Preparing for Your Party.
It really doesn’t take much other than a clean space, preferably pet and smoke free, good lighting, a full length mirror and some veggies and dip, perhaps fruit, and refreshments (including water). Don’t forget napkins and small plates. That’s it!
The Night of the Party.
Stefanie will arrive about 2 hours before the start time to set up and display the garments. She will bring the wine and the music CD. You should expect to have guests present for about 3 hours, as some may arrive and leave earlier/later than others. Stefanie will assist guests with selections, sizes and fitting if needed while you, the lovely hostess, socialize with other guests and browsers. The ambiance is fun and women get very excited about the styles that range from the grooviest street wear to classic and timeless garments for any occasion.

Payment Options at Fashion Parties.
Cash, of course, is accepted but we also accept Visa and MasterCard via PayPal provided that the hostess has a computer with Internet connection. SexyPlus clothing has established a merchant account with PayPal to ensure convenient and secure payment solutions for our customers.
