The charts below provide general information regarding sizing, however, since garments are made from different manufacturers who use different standards, these sizes may vary. SexyPlus Clothing does its best to provide helpful information regarding fit in the garment description: we will indicate if the garment has a generous fit, or if it is a junior plus size, meaning that it has a smaller fit.
We recommend using a soft measuring tape to get the most accurate results for your size and stand comfortably as you normally would.
| Bust: | Measure around your body, under your arms and over the fullest part of your bust. |
| Waist: | Measure around your natural waistline. For a relaxed fit, add 2″-4″ to your waist size or measure around your abdomen where you want your pants to sit. |
| Hip: | Measure around the fullest part of your hips (about 8″ below your waist). |
| Inseam: | Measure from the inside of your leg to the floor or find a pair of pants that fit you well and measure them from the crotch seam down the inside seam to the cuff. |
| Dresses: | Determine whether your top half or your bottom half is larger. Use the larger measurements for your dress size. You can always alter a dress to fit the smaller half of your body, if needed. |
| Belts: | Measure the top of your hips. This is approximately 2″ below the waist. If you like your pants to sit lower, measure around your abdomen where you want your belt to fit. |

Your shopping experience should be easy and effective based on your body shape, which is why we have integrated ‘SexyPlus Shape’ into our merchandise descriptions. SexyPlus Shape allows you to identify your shape, if you don’t already know it, and help you search our clothing by shape for the results best suited for you.
What’s your SexyPlus Shape?
| Apple shape: | You are rounder in the middle section, and may struggle with a less than defined waistline. However, you probably have great legs, and these are your assets, along with your shoulders and face. So look for clothing that is marked “apple shape” and you’ll be surprised at how figure flattering they are, and how great you feel in them. |
| Pear shape: | You have a well defined waistline and voluptuous hips and bottom. Your upper body may be a little smaller in proportion to your bottom half and you seek to balance both. Work that waistline and those feminine hips. Search for clothing that is marked “pear shape” and see how these garments will help you achieve balance and elevate your spirit. |
| Hour glass shape: | You have a voluptuous bust, smaller waist and hips that are proportioned with your bust. What a figure! Your greatest asset is your waistline, but you may possibly be concerned with your arms and tummy area. Clothes naturally look good on an hour glass shape, so remember your silhouette, not your problem areas, and look for clothing that is marked “hour glass shape” for our most flattering line for your curves. |
